Nxt Museum is an experimental space in Amsterdam dedicated to immersive experiences at the intersection of art, science, technology and sound. It commissions and presents ground-breaking museum installations by pioneering living artists. 

Nxt has built a portfolio of large-scale exhibitions featuring a new wave of new media artists and developed extensive public programmes focused on music, movement, performance and education. Nxt has emerged as an aspirational global brand in the art world.

The Role:

You will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the commercial strategy of Nxt Museum. You will be responsible for generating and growing revenue through strategic partnerships, sales (including venue hire, group bookings, and ticketing), and business development. Reporting directly to the Founder and Investors, you will lead the commercial team and oversee the full sales funnel from acquisition to retention - helping to secure long-term financial sustainability for the museum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the museum’s commercial strategy.

  • Report to Founder & Investors monthly.

  • Growing Nxt Museum revenue through existing and implementing new business models.

  • Lead and manage the Sales & Partnerships and Marketing Teams.

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities (e.g. sponsorships, venue hires, group & school visits).

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, sponsors, clients, and stakeholders.

  • Oversee the full partnerships pipeline and ensure targets are met or exceeded.

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Marketing, Operations, Arts & Culture) to develop integrated sales campaigns and activation plans.

  • Lead on pricing strategy, sales forecasting, and reporting for management and shareholder meetings.

  • Represent Nxt Museum at industry events, meetings, and public engagements.

Experience & Profile:

  • 5+ years of experience in a commercial, sales, or partnerships role.

  • Proven track record of delivering revenue growth through partnerships, sponsorships, or sales.

  • Strong strategic thinking with hands-on execution ability.

  • Data driven mindset and experienced in analyzing and reporting on full customer pipeline.

  • Deep understanding of branding, marketing, and audience development.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; fluent in Dutch and English.

  • A natural leader and team player, capable of managing and inspiring others.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a results-driven approach.

  • Passionate about culture, technology, and innovation.
